Only a great grape can give a great wine. At Domaine de la Solitude, the grapes are hand harvested by a team of experienced pickers. The same pickers usually come back every year because they appreciate the friendly atmosphere of the harvest. Their first task is to pick high quality grapes, but they must also leave out all the damaged grapes and keep only the best. The great qualitative consistency of Domaine de la Solitude wines, in so called “bad” years, can be explained by the strict selection used during the harvest.
